As at December 31, all are encouraged to start thinking and even writing our new year’s resolution(s). Once the fireworks fade we all get to work on what a productive year it will be.
By the third week of January, we all seems to be suffering from amnesia. We forget the promises we made to ourselves: we wanted to climb the mountain, we wanted to lose weight or even go back to school.
But then May has arrived and we all start to have epiphanies of what we could have accomplished. Question ourselves- Why wait on January 1 to make changes? Why wait until we receive our last pay cheque to start job hunting? Why wait until the next year to start your business? We need to now ask ourselves why not now?
The opportunities that exist now may not be available tomorrow. Put your shoulder to the wheel in this moment and make it happen. The most successful have failed but still, had the guts to continue. So let us take a sip of our favorite drink, clear the mind, and get a shower etc to renewed state. Ladies- dust those heels off, put on some lipstick and get that panty hose! Men- look for the best tie, shave that beards and get on with the rewarding smile. Let us start working on that thing/ idea we are passionate about. It’s never too early or by no means too late.
“Success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds.” – Orison Swett Marden
